Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology - Sol-Gel 2024 International Conference

The 22nd international Sol-Gel conference will be held in Berlin (Germany) at the Langenbeck Virchow Haus, 1-6 September 2024. As usual it will bring together experts in the fields of inorganic and organic-inorganic hybrid materials prepared by the sol-gel method and related soft chemistry routes. It will be the place to cross the frontiers between academy and industry and will cover all aspects of materials and nanomaterials design from fundamentals to applications. The conference Chairman is Prof. Nicola Pinna from the Humboldt University of Berlin.

As usual, the journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology (JSST), devoted to Sol-Gel Solution Derived Inorganic and Hybrid Materials, has been chosen to publish the Plenary and Invited presentations as well as those of the ISGS Workshop on Additive Manufacturing of Functional Materials which be held Sunday September 1st. Additional special papers dedicated to the Lifetime Achievement Awards, Ulrich Awards and Best Oral Presentations nominated by the session chairs will also be published. An invitation email will be sent by us to those who have been chosen by the organizers to submit a paper for the above topics.

There will be no fees and the deadline for submitting the invited papers will be end of December 2024. As usual, the main editor will be John Bartlett, JSST Special Sections Editor, who will work in collaboration with the Chair of the meeting.

The topics chosen by the organizers reflect the present interest of the journal and include:

  • Chemistry and fundamentals of the sol-gel process
  • Organic-inorganic hybrid materials
  • Nano- and micro-structured materials
  • Porous materials and hierarchical structured materials
  • Bio and bioinspired materials
