Conclusions
-
1.
Presented results and literature data on the IR spectra of aqueous solutions of acids have given the IR spectrum of the H5O2 + ion in the frequency range 800–3800 cm−1 at 25‡C.
-
2.
A broad band was found with a maximum at about 2350 cm−1, which was not assigned previously to the H5O2 + ion.
