Abstract
Abstract
The computer-assisted interview (CAPI) is a method of data collection which offers the advantages of plausibility checks and of automated sequencing of questions during the interview. The use of CAPI in large health surveys requires a flexible and reliable software tool. A new software called DAIMON was developed for the Health Survey 2000 in the KORA project network, which has proven its usefulness in the preparation and conduct of the survey. We will describe the properties of this software and our experiences with its use so far, with special emphasis given to aspects of quality assurance.
