Abstract
The history of the application of surfactants in analysis; physicochemical principles for modification of analytical systems using surfactant ions and surfactant-based microheterogeneous organized systems; and the progress and trends in the further application of surfactants to the separation, preconcentration, and determination of organic and inorganic compounds are considered.
