Abstract
Lasing efficiency as a function of the wavelength in lasers with solutions of cumarin 120, perylene, and two derivatives of naphthalimide is studied. It is shown that, for all of the compounds, the lasing-efficiency maximum is attained on the long-wave wing of the absorption spectrum rather than at its maximum.
