Summary
Primary cultures of rat myocardial cells which were subjected to oxygen and glucose deprivation, 2 conditions associated with ischemia, were evaluated for alterations in lysosomal integrity. A photometric technique measured changes in latent acid phosphatase activity and lysosomal membrane permeability.
