Abstract
TheJ-integral method for measuring fracture toughnesses of tough materials has been applied to three toughened nylons. TheJ tests were conducted at room temperature at speeds as high as 26 mm sec−1. Plane strain conditions were met in two of the three cases. Some comments about the experimental aspects of applying theJ method to polymers are given.
