Abstract
Measurements of the Righi-Leduc effect, the thermal analog of the Hall effect, in the mixed state of pure niobium are reported. The transverse temperature gradient is approximately field independent aboveH c1. The thermal Hall angle has a strong field dependence nearH c2. Comparison is made between these data and existing Hall effect measurements in the mixed state.
