Abstract
The thermodynamic properties and the pressure-temperature phase diagram of Co have been evaluated from experimental information using thermodynamic models for the Gibbs energy of the various phases. For hcp and fcc Co the model describes the magnetic contribution to the molar volume, expansivity, and compressibility and the efect of pressure upon the Curie temperature. Experimental data of many different types are satisfactorily described by the evaluated model parameters.
