Growth rates, measured under various conditions, are reported for Anacystis nidulans, Schizothrix calcicola, Porphyridium aerugineum, Cyanidium caldarium, Navicula minima, Vischeria stellata, Ankistrodesmus braunii, Chlorella ellipsoidea, and Chlorella pyrenoidosa in terms of the growth constant K during exponential growth. A description of the culturing and measuring techniques is given. The reliability of these techniques is discussed.
