Abstract
In order to make precise the position of Analytical Chemistry (AC) relevant abstract and concrete definitions and pertaining interpretations are given. In abstract sense AC is “the system consisting of at least 3 elements, connected by relations with the environment and with each other, intended for producing information”. In concrete sense AC is “the synoptic micro- and/or macrological consideration and informational processing of the material-related und reagent-dependent signals from the (chemical, physical or biochemical) reactions between sample and reagent, leading to the elucidation of a substance”.
