Abstract

Many cities in the world face congestion problems in road traffic, particularly in rural areas. To alleviate the problems in transportation and service the safe journey objectives, normal cities have to be transformed into “smart cities.” The information communication technologies and IoT delve into the window to convert the normal traffic into IoT-based traffic. The role of IoT and the platform are very important role in coordinating with the vehicles on the road and promote unique identification and safety. This paper proposes an IoT-based traffic management solution for smart cities and enables coordinate with the drivers of emergency vehicles to find the signal status and traffic density and choose the path, thereby the traffic are controlled dynamically with a minimum violations. The concept proposes without loss of generality enabling the emergency vehicles pass in the traffic reaching their destinations hassle free.
