Zusammenfassung
Noch vor zehn Jahren hörten die Menschen in Deutschland mit ihrem 50. Geburtstag auf, zur werberelevanten Zielgruppe zu gehören. Alte Menschen sind festgelegt, wenig konsumfreudig, eine „graue“ Zielgruppe im doppelten Wortsinn, nicht wert, dass man sich um sie bemüht – so lautete das gängige Klischee. Zudem sind Marketingleute und Werber meist jung, verstehen die älteren Menschen nicht, wollen sie wohl oft auch nicht verstehen. „Die einzige Zielgruppenbeschreibung ab 50, die ich bisher gesehen habe, war die für Kukident“, konnte noch vor 15 Jahren ein erfahrener Werber auf einem Seminar berichten.
