Zusammenfassung
Kohlenstoff ist der zentrale Wohlstandsträger unserer Volkswirtschaft. In seinen Erscheinungsformen Kohle, Erdgas und Erdöl, aber auch in Form von Biomasse wie z. B. Holz dominiert er als Energieträger und Syntheserohstoff das moderne Leben wie kaum ein anderes Element. Er schafft hinsichtlich des Massenwohlstands ungeahnte Möglichkeiten — aber auch Abhängigkeiten.
