Abstract
As used here the expression ‘secondary pollen presentation’ covers transfer of the pollen to some structure other than the thecae of the anthers before presentation to potential pollen vectors and the operation of mechanisms in which the style and/or the stamen-filaments act as a piston within a cylinder, so that these parts and those that form the cylinder are in contact with the pollen.
