Zusammenfassung
In der Geschichte der deutschen Entsorgungswirtschaft der letzten Jahrzehnte hat die Umsetzung der Verpackungsverordnung eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit erfahren. Die begrenzten Deponiekapazitäten zu Beginn der 1990er-Jahre erzeugten einen starken Handlungsbedarf. Vor allem das Müllvolumen musste gesenkt werden, um Deponien länger nutzbar zu machen.
