Entgegen Individualisierung und Entsolidarisierung: Die Rolle der sozialen Klasse als suprakategorialer Zugang in der Diversitätsforschung

Kurzfassung

Der Beitrag befasst sich mit der Frage, inwieweit der aktuelle Diskurs in den Diversitätsstudien Aspekte der ökonomischen Ungleichheit bzw. der Bedeutung von sozialer Schicht ausklammert. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass der Diversitätsdiskurs durch Fokussierung auf individuelle Diversitätskategorien zur Tendenz des Individualismus in der Gesellschaft beiträgt, welcher dazu führt, dass zunehmend eine generelle Entsolidarisierung forciert wird, die der Mobilisierungsmöglichkeit von Veränderungskräften hinsichtlich mehr Gerechtigkeit schadet. Die Inklusion ökonomischer Perspektiven, vor allem von sozialer Klasse als Diversitätsdimension in Diversitätsstudien, hat das Potenzial der vorliegenden Problematik mit Lösungsansätzen zu begegnen.
