Zusammenfassung

Der Tourismus in den europäischen Alpen ist in besonderem Maße geprägt von den Einheimischen, die mehr oder weniger aktiv Co-Produzenten des Tourismuserlebnisses sind. Die Rolle der Einheimischen in der Tourismusentwicklung wurde in der Vergangenheit vielfältig untersucht, wobei die Mehrzahl der Studien Einheimische nicht näher definieren und deren vielfältige Rollen nur selten hervorheben. Einheimische sind die dominanten Stakeholder, denn sie nehmen sehr oft mehrere Rollen in der touristischen Dienstleistungskette ein. Diese Stakeholdergruppe beeinflusst die Tourismusentwicklung drastisch und auf mehreren Ebenen.
