Produktivität im Gesundheitssektor – Wertschöpfung in Nutzungsprozessen

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag werden Ansatzpunkte verdeutlicht, wie die Produktivität innerhalb des Gesundheitssektors durch eine patientenzentrische Perspektive und einen Fokus auf die Produktivität des Patienten sowie seiner Wertschöpfung innerhalb von Nutzungsprozessen gesteuert und gefördert werden kann. Dadurch ergibt sich eine neue Sichtweise, wie den aktuellen Herausforderungen des Gesundheitswesens besser begegnet werden kann. Grundlegend hierfür ist die veränderte Auffassung des Wertbegriffs als Value-in-Use. Demnach ergibt sich der Wert einer Leistung für den Patienten erst während deren Nutzung. Der Patient und nicht der Anbieter ist somit maßgeblich verantwortlich für die Wertbestimmung einer Gesundheitsleistung, was unmittelbare Auswirkungen auf die Produktivität von medizinischen Leistungen hat. Je besser das Verhältnis, das aus den Nutzungsprozessen des Patienten resultierenden wahrgenommenen Wertes (patientenseitiger Output) sowie seine mit der Erstellung und Nutzung der Leistung verbundenen zeitlichen, kognitiven sowie sonstigen Aufwendungen (patientenseitiger Input) ist, desto höher kann die patientenseitige Produktivität angesehen werden. Auf Basis dieser Erkenntnisse werden Ansatzpunkte für das Management der Produktivität in Nutzungsprozessen von Patienten diskutiert.
