Abstract
The domestic pig is known to be reproductive all around the year. There is, however, a trend toward a seasonal activity, or more exactly, a seasonal decrease in reproductive efficiency (CORTEEL et al., 1964; STORK, 19 77). An excessive inefficiency occurs in animals served during the summer months.
