Abstract
Teleworkers are defined at least partly by the technology they use. This fact poses considerable problems for statistical measurement because of the rapid development of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and their tendency to gradually penetrate every sphere of life. In fact, the telework bracket has been extended further and further with the introduction of new technologies to the workplace, so much that it will soon be possible to call a majority of EU employees ‘teleworkers’.
