Dieses Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit Emotionen im Lernund Leistungskontext. Fragen Sie sich doch einmal selbst – wie fühlen Sie sich, während Sie die Inhalte dieses Lehrbuches durcharbeiten? Macht Ihnen diese Aufgabe Spaß? Langweilt es Sie? Ärgern Sie sich dabei? Und der Gedanke daran, dass Ihre Lernergebnisse überprüft werden: Jagt er Ihnen einen Schauer über den Rücken oder erfüllt es Sie mit Stolz, Ihre Erkenntnisse und Lösungen präsentieren zu dürfen?
Die wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit Emotionen findet vor allem in Allgemeiner Psychologie, Sozialpsychologie und Klinischer Psychologie statt, daneben auch in der Neuro-, Entwicklungs- und Differenziellen und Pädagogischen Psychologie. Insgesamt handelt es sich hierbei um einen relativ »jungen« Forschungsbereich. Abgesehen von der traditionellen Prüfungsangstforschung (überblicksartig in Schnabel, 1998; Zeidner, 1998) wurde der Relevanz von Emotionen im Kontext von Lernen und Leistung erst in den letzten 15 Jahren durch intensive Forschungstätigkeit Rechnung getragen. In diesem Kapitel werden vorwiegend Arbeiten zu Emotionen im Leistungskontext vorgestellt und Aspekte aus den Nachbardisziplinen dann aufgegriffen, wenn sie für den pädagogischen Kontext relevant sind.
