Zusammenfassung
Stress und Gesundheitsverhalten sind zentrale Themen kulturvergleichender Arbeiten der Psychologie (zusammmenfassend Kitayama & Cohen, 2007). Die gesundheitspsychologische Migrationsforschung widmet sich insbesondere präventivem Gesundheitsverhalten (z. B. Teilnahme an Vorsorgeuntersuchungen, Nutzung von Gesundheitsinformationen, Drogenvermeidung, Schutzverhalten, Ernährungs- und Bewegungsgewohnheiten), Stress- und Krankheitsbewältigung, Barrieren im Aufsuchen medizinischer Hilfe sowie generellen Gesundheitsrisiken (vgl. Kim, Wong & Maffini, 2010; Kizilhan & Bermejo, 2009; Schulz, 2002; Schulz & Gutiérrez-Doña, 2002).
