Zusammenfassung
Betrachtet man die aktuelle Diskussion um Mediatisierung, lassen sich zwei Grundpositionen identifizieren: Erstens ist das die Position, wonach das Konzept der Mediatisierung hilft, eine ‚Medienlogik‘ zu fassen, die über verschiedene soziale Felder hinweg besteht (Schulz 2004: 98; Hjarvard 2007: 3). Die zweite Position ist die der Kritik eines solch linearen Zugangs. Möglicherweise deren prominentester Vertreter ist Nick Couldry, der argumentiert, dass die medienbezogenen Einflüsse zu heterogen sind, um auf eine einzelne „media logic“ (Couldry 2008: 375) reduziert zu werden (siehe auch Livingstone 2009).
