Es ist eine längst weltumspannende Infrastruktur für den Austausch von Daten, auf der sich (nahezu) in Echtzeit Informationen aller Art verbreiten lassen. Es bietet zahllose Kommunikationsräume, in denen sich Menschen über alle nur denkbaren Facetten des Lebens austauschen und so soziale Beziehungen pflegen oder neu knüpfen.
