This is done by observing the nature, relations, and processes of the historical development of Islam and politics in Bangladesh with the characteristics of Islam and democratic political culture in Bangladesh; in doing so, this entry, finally, aims to examine the convergence and contradiction of Islam in the political sphere of Bangladesh and how Islam, governance, and politics are inextricably interconnected and knotted in the political history of Bangladesh.
