Abstract
This paper describes a pragmatic approach for the mediation and the teaching of research data literacy, i.e. those dimensions of information literacy that are dedicated to the creation, management, and reuse of research data. Based on prior work concerning the foundations of information literacy and curricula construction for data curation, the paper will begin with the definition of research data literacy, before describing an approach based on a fusion of core skills and a two dimensional matrix that reflects on the one hand the different student populations, and on the other hand a scale of various teaching modules. This matrix might serve as the basis for an operational implementation of different study programs.
