Abstract
Childbearing motivation can be thought of as a latent disposition to feel motivated for or against childbearing. Previous work has explored the antecedents of childbearing motivation and placed the trait of childbearing motivation in a conceptual sequence with desires, intentions, and behaviors. This study assessed the heritability of childbearing motivation as measured by the two main scales of the Childbearing Questionnaire (CBQ) and their nine subscales.
