Simulation and Control of Gas Transport and Distribution by Large-Scale Pipeline Networks

  • Chapter
Mutual Impact of Computing Power and Control Theory

Abstract

The goal of this paper is to follow the interactions between the control theory and computer science through their development. The history, the present, and the future are discussed to express the experience and the opinion of authors about the balance between the tools of theory and the computer means. The authors documented the conclusions and statements on real problems and examples from the field of mathematical and simulation modelling of large scale networks.
