Abstract

The agricultural and industrial activities of mankind have a substantial impact on the environment. Production systems—agriculture, forestry, fishery, etc., that parallel the production of food and raw materials—change the properties of soil, water, air, and other components of the biosphere with respect to alterations caused by production in the environment. Agriculture has a particular importance. The growing world population, development of techniques, and extension of agricultural land have resulted in increasing change in nature. During the history of mankind, the human effect has always been significant, but it has also had serious consequences in many places of the world. By now this effect has become a worldwide problem and many national and international organizations are confronted with the consequences.
