Mind-body interventions: mindfulness and meditation

Originating from ancient eastern and Buddhist philosophy, mindfulness is known as the practice of being intentionally aware of the present moment without judgment. Growing literature has repeatedly shown the benefits of incorporating mindfulness and meditation as therapy. This collection aims to encourage conversations within the scientific community regarding the use of mindfulness as a form of mind-body practice, as complementary therapy.

Affiliated with the International Society for Complementary Medicine Research (ISCMR), BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies is the highest ranked open access journal in its field.
