Biomedical image informatics is an emerging and dynamic field of research that is experiencing rapid growth. Its primary objective is to process and analyze images within the realm of biomedical research. These images span a broad range, ranging from the microscopic scale of cells and molecules to the larger scale of organs and entire bodies. This special issue seeks to showcase the latest advancements in biomedical image informatics, with a specific emphasis on innovative approaches developed to tackle the ever-expanding volume of information that needs to be effectively managed and processed.
