Multiscale materials provide a large design space to construct structural behavior at the material length scale. This special issue invites researches working on metamaterials to demonstrate their latest findings. The scope is not only covering theories, for example, micropolar, micromorphic, strain gradient, and stress gradient, but also experiments, manufacturing methods, and applications with architectured materials in mechanics, thermodynamics, acoustics, and electromagnetism.
