This topical collection is the continuation of a series of special volumes that have been previously published by another similar journal (i.e., EES), within the framework of the Argentine Meeting on Surface Geochemistry (RAGSU, Spanish acronym). It reflects the advances produced in Argentina in different aspects related to the Earth surface Geochemistry. The thematic axes developed in this VI RAGSU edition, include the objectives and scope of the current journal, highlighting the work that addresses basic research in geochemical and hydrological processes affecting groundwater and surface water quantity and quality; sustainability of water resources and water availability; impact of natural and anthropogenic activities on ecologic systems and human health.

Dr. in Geological Sciences. Independent Researcher of CONICET and professor at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. Her research focuses on Geochemical processes on exogenous systems and environmental issues, with the major focus oriented to the geochemical environments of the Earth, mostly hydrological systems, and how physical, biological, geological, and anthropogenic processes affected them.
