Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to play a significant role in sustainability and climate management by providing advanced analytical and decision-making capabilities. From an information systems perspective, AI can be used to optimize resource usage, predict and prevent environmental risks, and monitor and analyze data related to climate change. For example, AI-powered systems can be used to optimize energy usage in buildings, predict and prevent natural disasters, and monitor and analyze data on greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity. Additionally, AI can be used to develop new materials and products with improved sustainability characteristics and to support the transition to renewable energy sources. Overall, the application of AI in sustainability and climate management can help organizations make more informed and efficient decisions, leading to a more sustainable future.
