Photobiomodulation Therapy previously known as LLLT ( Lower Laser Light Therapy) has been used in clinical medical sciences since 1967, after its discovery by Endre Mester. Since then Healthcare Sciences have seen an increasing evidence supporting use of different laser wave lengths in conjugation with the gold standard treatments for any pain. Arthritis and neuralgia and many other diseases including dental pathological conditions or even idiopathic interventions - like orthodontic or prosthodontics treatments- may cause facial pain. But at the same time maybe, orthodontic or prosthodontics treatments could also help to treat the facial pain additional to endodontic and periodontal treatments. Neurologists and Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons may have their own treatment protocols as well. Therefore, we introduce the Topical Collection in order to assimilate the best solutions involving all medical aspects regarding facial and TMJ pain.
We wish to offer an opportunity to not only receive manuscripts but also to welcome the proposals and ideas for doing multi-center studies. Our aim is to provide best treatment protocols of different laser wavelengths to reduce pain beside other dental and general procedures.
Articles will undergo all of the journal's standard peer review and editorial processes outlined in its submission guidelines.
