She has a PhD in Perioperative management of patients with obesity, a Master Degree in Biostatistics and has been a professor since September 2022. Her main research areas are airway and ventilation, perioperative ventilation and obesity. She is Chair elect of the Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine (APM) section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) since October 2022, and Section Editor of Intensive Care Medicine since 2019.

    Prof. Samir Jaber Head of the Critical Care and Anesthesia Department of Saint-Eloi University Hospital in Montpellier-France. He was the Scientific Vice-Dean and President of the scientific council of the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier. He is Senior Deputy Editor of the ICM Journal. He developed clinical research in the field of perioperative medicine and has published more than 600 articles. Main research areas: perioperative medicine, digestive pathologies, sedation, obesity, acute respiratory failure, airways management, diaphragm function, ARDS, weaning-extubation, non-invasive ventilation, and invasive mechanical ventilation.
