The 2022 Asia-Pacific Forum was held in Changsha September 8-9, with the theme of Carbon Peaking and Neutrality for Our Green Future. The forum aims to explore the strategies and pathways of achieving carbon peaking and neutrality through policy and financial support, institutional strengthening, and technological innovation. Built upon the momentum from this influential and successful forum, this special issue in Carbon Neutrality will contribute to a broad and timely discussion around the following topics: energy transformation, digitalization, low-carbon technologies, urban low-carbon actions, and carbon markets in countries in Asia-Pacific region and beyond. It will also focus on emerging issues including rural revitalization and low-carbon zones, and discuss road maps and comprehensive solutions to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
