Ángel Ríos is full professor of Analytical Chemistry in the University of Castilla – La Mancha (Spain). He is responsible for the research group on "Simplification, automation and miniaturization of analytical processes", and the interdisciplinary “Analytical-nano-Group”. Since his Ph.D. in 1983, supervised by Prof. Valcárcel, he has published more than 350 scientific articles, edited 4 international books, authored many book chapters, and directed 28 Ph.D. theses. In addition to analytical nanoscience, his main lines of interest are sensors, screening methods, analytical nanometrology, and quality systems in analytical laboratories.
