Plant RNA Biology

Participating journal: Plant Molecular Biology

Ribonucleic acid (RNA) is one of the most important biopolymers that support the basic activities of living organisms. In plant RNA biology, in addition to the conventional molecular genetics-based studies of plant physiology and development, research in new directions is making great progress, such as the massive identification of novel types of non-coding RNAs and of environmental responses that depend on the properties of RNA molecules themselves including RNA structure, as well as novel interpretations of RNA functionality, e.g. in liquid-liquid phase separation. Based on such active developments in plant RNA biology, this collection of articles aims to provide an overview of plant RNA research to date, and an opportunity to discuss future directions of this research field.

Participating journal

Plant Molecular Biology is an international journal committed to the swift publication of original research in all plant biology areas.
