Special Issue on Temporality and Ethics -Timeliness of Ethical Perspectives on Temporality in Times of Crisis

Critically, this special issue explores the specific connection between Time and Ethics and offers a revised ethical sense of temporality in business and in organization and management studies, in our contemporary world of multiple crises. The introduction elaborates on different understandings of temporalities and provides reasons as to why it is timely to ethically rethink our conceptions of time, but also its implications and consequences. In particular, some specific ethically relevant phenomena, like acceleration, Kairos, the nexus of time and crisis are discussed. It concludes with the presentation of some perspectives on alternative temporal interpretations linked to ethics as well as practical implications of these novel points of view. The introduction finishes with an overview of the articles in this special issue and concluding overarching perspectives.
