Nonlinear Processes in Solar-Terrestrial Plasmas

Participating journal: Reviews of Modern Plasma Physics
A special issue on Nonlinear Processes in Solar-Terrestrial Plasmas will be published by Reviews of Modern Plasma Physics in 2022, with A. Chian, T. Hada and R. Matsumoto as guest editors, consisted of a collection of high-quality review articles by leading researchers. The study of solar-terrestrial plasmas has entered a new era thanks to a number of ambitious spacecraft missions, large-scale numerical simulations, and novel plasma theories and scientific methods that can be applied to big dataset generated by spacecraft experiments and powerful computers. The aim of this special issue is to provide basic knowledge to understand various nonlinear processes in solar-terrestrial plasmas, with emphasis on Alfven wave phenomena in the solar-terrestrial environment.
