Abstract
The lead story in the November 2005 National Geographic asked, “What if I said you could add up to ten years to your life?” The lead article in the July 24, 2013, Newsweek was even more audaciously titled: “You can life forever: Is immortality plausible? Or is it quack science?” Well, perhaps we can extend our lives, even by 10 years or so, but immortality seems a bit of a stretch.
