Introduction

Abstract

The interest of scientists in studying different aspects of nonverbal behavior does not subside. There are still lists of arguable, neglected, open questions that should be given reliable answers based on strong empirical evidence guided by theory. Despite potential differences in theoretical and methodological approaches, as well as in the fields which they are interested in, scientists see the value of systematic research in this field. They also see both theoretical and practical impli-cations in this research, believing that gaining knowledge of nonverbal mechanisms can improve the ability to understand others, and at the same time raise awareness of our own communicative capacities.
