Abstract

This book has addressed the theoretical and empirical questions raised by the policing of young people and the processing of juvenile delinquents through ‘informal’ means outside the court system. In doing so, it has ranged across a variety of themes, viewpoints and times. The purpose of this chapter is therefore twofold: first, to summarize the key arguments raised in previous chapters; second, to tease out the various implications of my arguments.
