Aggregation of cyanine dyes in Langmuir-Blodgett films

Abstract

We report fluorescence studies of aggregates in Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films using the time-correlated single-photon counting technique and fluorescence spectroscopy. The kinetics and spectra of aggregates are presented. The results demonstrate that the aggregates in LB-films belong to J-type aggregates.
