Abstract
The journey through the pages of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s autobiographical work, Waiting for a Visa, has been one of profound insights and reflections on the enduring struggles against discrimination. This critical reading has offered a comprehensive understanding of Ambedkar’s life and ideas, shedding light on the complexities of caste-based discrimination in contemporary India and its resonance with discrimination worldwide. As we delved into themes such as education, exploitation, resilience, tolerance, language, discourse, and identity, we discovered that the quest for justice and equality is universal, transcending geographical boundaries, and historical epochs.
