Abstract
Collaborative learning encourages students to participate more actively in their learning process. They can discuss, share, assess, and take responsibility for their own and their peers’ learning. It is the context where knowledge convergence happens subsequently. With the COVID-19 pandemic onset and lingering, mobile devices have become more essential in various learning contexts. Mobile learning enables students learning in and outside classrooms with easy, flexible, and unlimited features. Against this backdrop, this study examines the acquisition of practical skills in translation within the framework of collaborative learning through mobile devices. Based on an exploratory study through surveys and observations, we examine how knowledge convergence happens collaboratively while facilitated by mobile devices in and outside classroom settings.
