Abstract

In this paper, luminance-based scene change detection is utilized to condense color video. Video is comprised of frames shots and scene. Depending on video content shot and scene may be same or vary. Luminance (Y) is black and white information of frame or a picture. A single frame is also quite vital because video is sequences of frames. Color frame requires more space. This space is expensive and limited. Bandwidth required is obviously more in color width. So it is essential to compress color video to cater every user application of entitled paper is used. In portable Media Player (PMP) like smartphones, laptop for video broadcasting, video conferencing. Latest requirement, most essential is mobile, tab for every human being.
