Abstract
Demonetization is big step initiated by Government of India that is withdrawal of the particular currency from circulation and replacing it with a new currency. In the period of demonetization, people used debit cards, credit cards, mobile wallet, and net banking for their day-to-day need. Many people across the world posted their opinions in all social media. With this, large amount of data is gathered about demonetization. In this paper, sentiment analysis is performed to discover how people feel about a demonetization. Twitter tweets of 11843 people were collected, and data mining was conducted to understand the real sentiment of the people of India during the demonetization period using naive Bayes classifier algorithm. The results of analysis were very convincing and strong that the people had a positive sentiment toward the Indian currency demonetization.
